THE AIM OF EVERY ARTIST

“THE AIM OF EVERY ARTIST IS TO ARREST MOTION, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again, since it is life." Faulkner

In 1993, Yvonne picked up her first digital camera and began a passion to learn all things photography. Shooting sports was her first daunting challenge. Through perseverance, patience and many rainy Friday nights shooting, Yvonne provided many parents with lasting memories.

After several years of capturing meteoric moments of greatness Yvonne found a new challenge.

Color, beauty and details found in nature go unnoticed and unappreciated by the casual observer. Yvonne captures what goes unseen…nature's hidden treasures. The beauty found in nature is so fleeting; only by stopping to really "see" what surrounds her is she able to create a permanent and timeless image.

Recently, Yvonne joined fellow photographer and teacher Jim Henderson to create Field Trip Photography Workshops. During these workshops, conducted on location, participants get hands-on field experience in DSLR photography.

Yvonne plans to continue sharing her love for photography through teaching photography locally, exhibiting her work, and supporting area art interests.
