...is the foundation of all my art. It creates the skeleton on which to build the final image.

TRADITIONAL PAINTING... starts with an image that is transformed with oil paint and brushes on a substrate…canvas…wood panel…or paper.

DIGITAL PAINTING …is all about the process. The initial digital image creates the skeleton….the underpainting. Using brushes "heavy" with oil paint, "dripping" with ink, "puddling" with water, or "dusty" with charcoal or chalk, a new image is created!

Encaustic...is all about the wax...and color...and texture!
